We’re happy to announce that the winner of Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month is Nyle @ X4 Group!

LDN Apprenticeships highlights a clear message of what makes an AWESOME Apprentice; they must show energy, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, ability to take feedback and propensity to take action (EEWAP). Read Nyle’s nomination from his line-manager Sam Bysouth below:

Energy: Nyle has the immediate disadvantage of working in a very fast-paced, pressurised environment, so it is a credit to him that he is able to keep up with all of the demands of the company. He brings a really proactive energy to his work, and is always asking for other tasks that he can complete for us. He has recently begun working with our newest apprentice Bola, and is already having a positive influence on Bola’s work ethic and attitude.

Enthusiasm: What makes Nyle a pleasure to work with is his enthusiasm not only for his day to day work at X4 Group, but also the enthusiasm he has for his learning with LDN. He is constantly looking for ways to improve his knowledge and has a real passion for IT and supporting people. Whether it is dealing with a complex strategic IT issue, or helping with a small operational task, his enthusiasm means he is always up for doing his best.

Willingness To Learn: Nyle has taken to his apprenticeship so well because of his real understanding of his potential to grow and advance his own knowledge with X4 Group and LDN. He will never miss an opportunity to learn, and so is constantly taking notes if we are covering something new to him.

Ability To Take Feedback: By having a mature and humble approach to his work, Nyle is always able to absorb feedback and pick out the key parts of this feedback that will allow him to learn and improve moving forwards. In his supervisory role with Bola he is also beginning to give feedback, which I am confident in his ability to do, and I hope will also allow him to continue to understand the value of giving and receiving feedback.

Propensity To Take Action: Nyle is a pleasure to manage because he is always keen to do what is needed to complete any task set for him. He is proactive in recognising areas or problems requiring his support, and is always forward-thinking in terms of upcoming issues and potential areas for improvement.

Congratulations Nyle!

Danielle @ Bespoke Curtains and Blinds – Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month

Danielle @ Bespoke Curtains and Blinds – Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month

We’re happy to announce that the winner of Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month is Danielle @ Bespoke Curtains and Blinds

LDN Apprenticeships highlights a clear message of what makes an AWESOME Apprentice; they must show energy, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, ability to take feedback and propensity to take action (EEWAP). Danielle’s nomination is below:

Energy: Danielle has been a breath of fresh air to the company. She has a wonderful and pleasant nature and has integrated seamlessly into our small office. Danielle’s excellent start has put aside any question I had about whether an apprenticeship was the right choice for the company. I can see Danielle being a great success for us.

Enthusiasm: Danielle approaches her work with a positive mindset. She is focused on her tasks and her enthusiasm for digital marketing is obvious. She enjoys her work and seems to enjoy working with our small team. Danielle’s time here has given me the impression she would like her new role to contribute to the success of the business – in short she has given me the impression that she is dedicated and cares. These are great attributes from an employer’s perspective.

Willingness To Learn: This follows my previous comments as Danielle has shown great propensity for her work and tasks. Danielle has overseen a complete revamp of our social media platforms. On our recent catch up meeting she expanded on the different analytics and programs she has introduced to help raise our profile and track the development. I found this remarkable. We have already seen positive feedback and Danielle has already put forward ideas on how we could continue to improve our presence.

Ability To Take Feedback: Danielle is very approachable and a very good listener. Any replies or suggestions are always considered and well thought out. These are excellent qualities and allow for easy and free flowing exchanges. She takes feedback on board and implements things well.

Propensity To Take Action: This one of Danielle’s strong points. In fact, she secured the role by showing excellent initiative in the trial day she spent with us. She kept herself busy throughout the day and showed flair in working through her tasks. I am pleased to say she has continued in this manner ever since. This is crucial to Danielle’s success given we are a small company and she is left to her own devices in many respects. When given tasks, she carries them out efficiently and nearly always at the first time of asking. In addition to this, Danielle continuously introduces new ideas and methods and has begun to create a genuine and important role within our company which quite simply did not exist before her arrival.

Congratulations Danielle!

Natasha Ali @ LDN Apprenticeships – Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month

We’re happy to announce that the winner of Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month is Natasha Ali @ LDN Apprenticeships.

LDN Apprenticeships highlights a clear message of what makes an AWESOME Apprentice; they must show energy, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, ability to take feedback and propensity to take action (EEWAP). Natasha’s nomination is below:

Energy: Natasha been an apprentice with LDN Apprenticeships for over two years and continues to demonstrate great energy and attitude. Natasha is a very personable and works well with the other teams in the company.

Enthusiasm:
Natasha loves her role and this is reflected in her approach to her job. She approaches all tasks with the same mindset and does her utmost to complete projects on time. She takes pride in her work and always strives for perfection.

Willingness To Learn:
Natasha started with us as a digital & creative apprentice but has progressed onto the L4 Salesforce Developer standard and is proving to be a competent Salesforce admin. She is now in a position to write apex triggers and classes for Salesforce, debugging code and then deploying into production. Her problem-solving attributes have improved significantly over the past 6 months which has resulted in her ability to resolve issues in a much quicker timeframe.

Ability To Take Feedback: Natasha and I meet fortnightly to review how she is progressing against her monthly targets and discuss any issues she has with smaller projects. She takes all feedback on board and actions without any hesitation. She manages her time and workload effectively using Trello and despite having to respond to a high number of people logging support calls, works well under pressure.

Propensity To Take Action: Natasha has a pro-active approach when seeking to improve the company’s Salesforce org. She arranges meetings with other LDN employees to discuss new ideas, provide training to new starters or to clarify processes. Natasha is working on implementing several API’s to improve efficiency and has taken the lead on liaising with software providers and freelance developers.

Congratulations Natasha!

Hamdi Tajeddin @ PMA Digital – Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month

Hamdi Tajeddin @ PMA Digital – Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month

I’m happy to announce that the winner of Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month is Hamdi Tajeddin @ PMA Digital.

LDN Apprenticeships highlights a clear message of what makes an AWESOME Apprentice; they must show energy, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, ability to take feedback and propensity to take action (EEWAP). Hamdi’s nomination is below:

Energy: PMA Digital is an incredibly high energy workplace and Hamdi has found his own inimitable place within our dynamic. Uniquely energetic, fun, funny, self-starting, highly attentive to detail and motivated yet cool under pressure, he is not only a great role model to younger apprentices, but even to his more experienced colleagues around him.

Enthusiasm:
Hamdi’s exponentially increasing ability, his can-do attitude and the great results he consistently delivers have made him the perfect candidate to take on some of our more challenging and high profile projects. He has done so with unparalleled enthusiasm. It’s not all glamorous, but Hamdi takes on even the more onerous tasks with the very same enthusiasm.

Willingness To Learn:
Hamdi joined us a blank canvas and now finds himself a skilled and confident junior developer, a journey on which he has taken himself with gusto. He is beyond willing to learn – it is at the heart of his every day.

Ability To Take Feedback: Hamdi has successfully delivered projects for some of our most demanding clients; and with demanding clients comes demanding feedback. Not only has he taken this feedback on his broad shoulders – even when it requires the most frustrating backwards movement – but each piece of feedback has fed into his learning process.

Propensity To Take Action: In an incredibly fast-paced working environment, Hamdi has thrived under the pressure which comes with the job, always proactive in his approach to solving problems and delivering elegant solutions to complex problems. Forget having to ask twice – we don’t even need to ask once.

Congratulations Hamdi!

Sai Ganesh Maheshwaran @ Potensis – Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month

Sai Ganesh Maheshwaran @ Potensis – Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month

We’re happy to announce that the winner of Tech LDN Apprentice of the Month is Sai Ganesh Maheshwaran @ Potensis

LDN Apprenticeships highlights a clear message of what makes an AWESOME Apprentice; they must show energy, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, ability to take feedback and propensity to take action (EEWAP). Sai’s nomination is below:

Energy:

Sai is a popular member of staff here at Potensis and for good reason. He is eager to get stuck in to his core helpdesk duties. If someone approaches IT with an issue, he is straight up out of his chair and off to sort it out and very happy to spend some extra time with the user to explain the situation and perhaps how to stop it happening again if it is within their control.

Enthusiasm:

Sai is always looking to take on the next challenge and is on the lookout for ways to improve processes. He is very keen on gaining a raft of certifications but does well in the work environment to facilitate that. It is clear from all the good work that Sai does how much he enjoys working in IT. He is also extremely enthusiastic about Pizza Pay Day, easily taking down a whole pizza on his own!

Willingness To Learn:

Sai has obviously found the career for him and to say he has a thirst for learning and knowledge is somewhat of an understatement. Sai’s propensity for studying and learning new skills is highly commendable. Sai is now well versed in Office 365 and associated applications, Mobile Device Management, has strong skills in elements of the Microsoft Cloud solution, is a well-rounded helpdesk technician and is starting to get proficient in PowerShell as well as passing scoring highly in both his CompTIA A+ certifications.

Ability To Take Feedback:

Sai actively seeks out feedback where he feels he might not have taken the best path to a solution; although it should be said that often he is being a tad too tough on himself. I am impressed with how well Sai takes constructive criticism on the whole and it is clear that he is trying to improve himself as an IT professional, not just his technical skills but how he interacts with people and how he deals with their IT issues on a personal level. Of the few development issues which Sai has encountered here, he has addressed them with maturity and conviction and has resolved them.

Propensity To Take Action:

Sai has reached the point in his job here at Potensis where clearly understands his role and acts accordingly. I am confident to leave Sai to his own devices and for him to effectively deal with issues as they arise in a logical, methodical and enthusiastic manner, but also to act accordingly if things arise where he should revert to someone more senior. This is the second time that Sai has been nominated for Apprentice of the Month. He has come along even further now in his development and enjoyed more success. I think this is Sai’s month to shine and reap the benefits of all the work he has put in.

Congratulations Sai!
